Hurtling through the air at over 30,000 feet in a small metal tube is in itself extremely strange when you really think about it. So it’s not surprising that many inventions designed for travelling are similarly weird, but at the same time surprisingly useful. Here are some of our personal favourites:
The Luggage Scooter

Tired of having to drag your luggage around? Well, scoot it around instead. Ride your luggage through the airport and never miss a flight again!
The Ostrich Pillow

Sleep anywhere. And I mean literally – anywhere. Maybe not suited for anyone who’s claustrophobic.
Tugo Cup Holder

Isn’t carrying around your water bottle or cup tiring? Strap it in between your suitcase holder with Tugo. Maybe don’t combine this with the Luggage Scooter.
The Hand Crank Emergency Cell Phone Charger

It always struck me as ironic that you have to charge a portable phone charger. Well, not this one. Simply turn the hand crank and slowly power up your dead phone.
SlotFlops Pocket Sandals

Keep your personal belongings in your sandals and avoid soggy bills from your swimwear pockets. I often put my belongings in my shoes when I swim at the beach anyway, so this is even better!
