My child is under 18. Who has the power of attorney (PoA)?

Children aged two years or older have the same rights as adults to claim compensation according to EU Regulation 261/2004. However, minors are not permitted to sign the power of attorney (PoA) for

Parents or a legal guardian can sign the minor’s PoA.

Here is an example: if you are travelling with an underage child (over the age of 2) and you claim compensation for your flight, simply sign the PoA for your child.
