Travellers are being offered help in claiming compensation for delayed or cancelled flights on a “no win, no fee” basis. Refund.me, an online platform set up last summer in Germany, launched this month in countries including the UK, US and Spain. It relies on EU legislation which, if certain criteria are met, allows passengers to reclaim up to €600 from their airline. Refund.me charges 25 per cent, plus VAT, of any award, and says it hopes to expand into Russia, Brazil and India.
